Our Story – The Revival of the "Zeller Krone"

In April 2021, we – Mike Kiefer, Markus Ruemmele, and Stefan Döbele – came together to bring a shared vision to life. Our mission: to rescue the traditional bar "Zur Krone" in the heart of Zell im Wiesental and breathe new life into it for generations to come.

For Stefan Döbele, the project was a heartfelt endeavor. As the grandson of former innkeeper Herrmann Döbele, Stefan has cherished childhood memories of the "Zeller Krone" and a deep connection to the place. The idea of adding a brewing system in the cellar came from Mike Kiefer, while Markus Ruemmele, a civil engineer, took charge of planning and carrying out the extensive renovation.

After two years of dedication and hard work, the time had finally come:
In April 2023, the restaurant "Zur Krone" reopened its doors – beautifully modernized, yet still full of the charm and tradition that have always made it special.

Mike Kiefer

Mike Kiefer ist ein erfahrener und erfolgreicher Zeller Gastronom. Er Betreibt seit über 20 Jahren das renommierte Hotel „Löwen“ in Zell im Wiesental. Seit 2023 ist Mike Kiefer zudem Betreiber der Gashausbrauerei „Zur Krone“. Mike Kiefer prägte in den vergangenen Jahren wesentlich die regionale Gastronomie.

Markus Rümmele

Markus Rümmele ist Bauingenieur und Geschäftsführender Gesellschafter der Rümmele Bauingenieur GmbH.

Stefan Döbele

Privat-Dozent Dr. med. Stefan Döbele ist Facharzt für Orthopädie und Unfallchirurgie, spezialisiert auf Sporttraumatologie und arthroskopische Chirurgie. Er arbeitet als Oberarzt an der BG Klinik in Tübingen und ist zudem am Universitätsklinikum Tübingen tätig.
